Home building is a long journey, but I’m so excited to finally start the design process! However, I am a firm believer that you don’t have to break the bank to have a beautifully styled home. In my humble opinion, the best kind of spaces perfectly balance between investment and affordable home decor, vintage and modern, and bold and subtle.
I tend to gravitate towards designs that have a mix of classic prep with a hint of grandmillennial flair. These items are usually traditional in taste, but with a modern twist, that make them easy classics. Grandmillennial is fun for its feminine details, but the preppy edge keeps it in the modern age. Furthermore, the color palette is a blend of pastels with vivid colors–such as indigos and jewel tones.
When all is said and done, interior design should be an extension of your style. As you get older, you will see that your style becomes more refined and starts to spill over into your lifestyle. It is always a breath of fresh air when someone’s home accurately depicts their sense of style.
So for today’s post, I’m sharing a few affordable home decor favorites that really get those creative juices flowing! As always, feel free to reach out with any questions!
